Photo Inspiration

Time for another OCL Friday challenge. This weeks challenge is a photo challenge (photo shown above). I loved the colors of this photo. Such pretty blues, greens and yellows perfect for a summer card.

I actually didn't use a lot of stamps on this card. I just made 1 1/2 in squares and corner rounded opposite edges to make the pattern. I have seen this quite a few times and wanted to try it and this was the perfect card to try it on. I used a flower punch and buttons for the centers of each square.

The sentiment I used was from the Out for s Spin set from Our Craft Lounge. I just love this sentiment.

Supplies:
  • Stamps - Sentiment from Out for a Spin from OCL
  • Ink - Night of Navy
  • Paper - Marina Mist, Wild Wasabi, So Saffron, Bashful Blue, Very Vanilla
  • Corner Rounder
  • Flower Punch
  • Buttons
Thanks so much for Visiting!!

Heavy Metal....well sort of

So I had a few extra minutes today to play in my craft room. That hasn't happened in a while. I made my card today for the Ways to Use it Challenge at Splitcoast. The challenge was to use metal on your card.

Now, I know I didn't go too crazy with the metal, but I was having a hard time coming up with anything other than brads....so I just used them on my card.

The stamp sets are Swinging By and Out for a Spin. Both sets are from Our Craft Lounge.

Supplies:
  • Stamps - Swinging By and Out for a Spin
  • Ink - Early Espresso and Baja Blue
  • Paper - Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Certainly Celery, Real Red, Baja Blue, White
  • Scallop Punch
  • Circle Punch
  • Sponge
  • Brads
  • Prismacolor Markers

Time for another Sketch challenge at the OCL Blog.......Isn't this little monkey adorable? It is from a newer set from Our Craft Lounge called Monkey Around and it has seriously moved itself to the top of my favorites.

I decided to stamp him on Crumb Cake paper and I liked it much better than on just the white, but that may be because I am slightly obsessed with anything Kraft colored..lol

  • Ink - Early Espresso
  • Paper - Crumb Cake, So Saffron, Early Espresso
  • Designer Paper - DCWV
  • Prismacolor markers
